Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Perago Information Systems uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on its informational website. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Website Terms and Conditions.
This Cookie Policy applies to the website operated at https://www.peragosystems.com by Perago Information Systems, registered as Perago Information Systems PLC, referred to in this Policy as “Perago”, “we”, “us”, or “our”.
Our website is primarily informational. It provides information about Perago, our services, solutions, news, contact options, demo requests, career opportunities, and related business content. When you visit or interact with the website, we and our third-party technology providers may use cookies, pixels, tags, scripts, local storage, device identifiers, session replay tools, and similar technologies, collectively referred to in this Policy as “cookies and similar technologies”.
This Policy explains what these technologies are, why we use them, which third-party tools may be involved, the legal basis for each category, and how you can manage your choices.
Where information collected through cookies or similar technologies identifies, relates to, or can reasonably be linked to an individual, Perago treats that information as personal data and handles it in accordance with our [Privacy Policy](/privacy-policy) and applicable data protection law.
Technologies We Use
Perago uses the following cookies and similar technologies on the website, directly or through third-party service providers:
| Technology | First-party / third-party status | Main purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics | Third-party analytics tool | Measures traffic, visitor behavior, content performance, and general usage trends. |
| Microsoft Clarity | Third-party analytics and session insight tool | Provides heatmaps, session replays, click data, scrolling activity, mouse movements, and similar interaction data. |
Google Analytics
- First-party / third-party status
- Third-party analytics tool
- Main purpose
- Measures traffic, visitor behavior, content performance, and general usage trends.
Microsoft Clarity
- First-party / third-party status
- Third-party analytics and session insight tool
- Main purpose
- Provides heatmaps, session replays, click data, scrolling activity, mouse movements, and similar interaction data.
These are the only non-essential third-party tracking technologies deployed on the website as at the Last Updated date of this Policy. Perago does not currently use tag management, advertising, remarketing, or social media pixel technologies on the website. Perago periodically reviews its website technologies and may disable tools that are no longer active, needed, or approved. If Perago introduces any new cookie or similar technology, it will update this Policy and the website cookie banner before the technology is activated, and, where consent is required, the technology will not load until the visitor accepts the relevant category.
The website may also use strictly necessary first-party cookies for security, page delivery, and basic form operation, as described in Section 9.
The website may load certain technical resources, such as fonts, images, or scripts, from third-party servers or content delivery networks operated by providers such as Google or other infrastructure providers. Loading these resources transmits the visitor’s IP address and basic browser information to the relevant provider, which may process that information in accordance with its own privacy terms. These resources do not set tracking cookies and are used only to deliver, display, and secure the website. They are treated as strictly necessary for website operation.
We may embed third-party content or services on the website in the future, including videos, maps, forms, scheduling tools, or social media content. These third parties may set their own cookies or collect information when you interact with their content. Any such embedded content that sets non-essential cookies will be disclosed in this Policy and subject to the cookie banner before activation.
Information Collected Through Cookies and Similar Technologies
Depending on your browser, device, website interactions, and the tools active on the website, cookies and similar technologies may collect information such as:
- IP address and approximate location derived from the IP address.
- Browser type, browser version, device type, operating system, screen size, and language settings.
- Pages visited, links clicked, forms opened, buttons selected, time spent on pages, referring website, and exit pages.
- Session activity, heatmaps, scrolling patterns, mouse movements, and similar interaction data through Microsoft Clarity, subject to the masking and exclusion controls described in Section 7.
- Date and time of visits, session duration, page load information, technical logs, and error data.
We do not intend to use cookies to collect sensitive personal information such as health information, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, biometric data, financial account information, passwords, or similar sensitive information. Visitors should avoid entering sensitive personal information into general website forms unless specifically requested for a legitimate purpose.
Microsoft Clarity and Session Insight
We use Microsoft Clarity to better understand how visitors interact with our website. Microsoft Clarity may collect usage and interaction information, including clicks, scrolling, mouse movements, heatmaps, session replays, browser information, device information, and similar activity data.
Session replay tools can create a recording-like view of a visitor’s interaction with pages. This may include page movements, button selections, cursor movement, scrolling, and interactions with forms. Perago does not use Microsoft Clarity to intentionally capture passwords, payment information, sensitive personal information, or confidential content.
Microsoft Clarity should be configured with input masking or field exclusion rules for all contact, demo request, recruitment, and other free-text or form input fields. These controls are intended to prevent text typed into form fields, including text that is not submitted, from appearing in session replay recordings. If masking is not technically available for a particular field, that field should be excluded from session replay capture or the relevant tracking should be disabled on that page.
Access to Microsoft Clarity recordings and heatmaps should be limited to authorized personnel who need the information to improve website usability, diagnose technical issues, or assess website performance.
Microsoft Clarity data retention may vary by data type and provider settings. Clarity recordings are generally retained for a shorter period than heatmap or selected session data. Labeled, favorited, sampled, or heatmap-related data may remain available for longer periods, subject to Microsoft’s current retention settings and Perago’s configuration.
Visitors should avoid entering sensitive or confidential information into general website forms unless it is necessary for their inquiry or application.
Analytics and Session Insight Technologies
We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand website performance, usability, and visitor engagement. These tools help us measure visits, page views, traffic sources, engagement, and interaction patterns, and to identify and fix usability or technical issues.
Google and Microsoft may process the information collected in accordance with their own privacy policies and terms. Perago does not control how these providers independently process information for their own purposes.

Third-Party Content and Embedded Services
Our website may contain or later include third-party content, tools, or embedded services such as videos, maps, forms, scheduling tools, social media content, chat widgets, analytics scripts, advertising pixels, or similar integrations. When you interact with such third-party content, the relevant provider may collect information about your device, browser, IP address, interaction, and usage of that content.
These third-party providers operate under their own privacy policies, cookie policies, and terms. We encourage visitors to review those policies before interacting with third-party content or services.
Relationship With Our Privacy Policy
Cookies and similar technologies may involve the collection or processing of personal data. For more information about how Perago collects, uses, shares, stores, protects, and retains personal data, and how you may exercise privacy rights, please review our [Privacy Policy](/privacy-policy).
If there is any inconsistency between this Cookie Policy and the Privacy Policy regarding personal data processing, the Privacy Policy will apply to the extent of that inconsistency.
Children and Minors
The website is not directed to children or minors under 18. Perago does not knowingly use cookies, pixels, session replay, remarketing, or advertising technologies to track or target users under 18.
If Perago becomes aware that cookie or tracking data relating to a minor has been collected through the website, Perago will take reasonable steps to delete or restrict that data where required by applicable law.
International Processing
Information collected through Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity may be processed in Ethiopia and in countries where Google and Microsoft or their infrastructure, affiliates, subprocessors, or support teams operate, including the United States, Ireland, and other provider processing locations. Data protection laws in those countries may differ from Ethiopia’s. Technical resources loaded from third-party servers, as described in Section 3, also involve transmission of IP address and browser information to the relevant provider’s processing locations. Perago relies on legitimate business interest for this strictly necessary transmission and applies the safeguards described in this section.
For these transfers, Perago relies on the visitor’s explicit consent, obtained through the cookie banner after informing the visitor that the transfer takes place. The relevant tools do not load, and no transfer occurs, unless the visitor accepts the corresponding category. Perago also applies safeguards including provider data processing terms, security controls, and, for Microsoft Clarity, the input masking and field exclusion controls described in Section 7.
Perago maintains and periodically reviews a cookie, processor, and international-transfer mapping record for active website technologies. If a provider, processing location, or safeguard changes materially, this Cookie Policy will be updated to reflect the current configuration.
Updates to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our website, technologies, analytics tools, advertising tools, legal requirements, or business practices. The updated version will be posted on the website with a revised “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the website after an updated Cookie Policy is posted means you have been informed of the updated terms.
